About The Position

Assemble flex duct in a manufacturing environment using compressed cans or manually. The role works within well-defined instructions, follows established procedures, and performs assigned tasks under close supervision. The employee may work on a manual, non-compressed production line assembling larger-diameter products by hand; these products are typically heavier and more difficult to assemble. The position reports to a Manufacturing Manager, Supervisor, or Lead. People management is not part of this role.

• Ability to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to meet the role’s physical requirements, including standing, walking, stooping or bending, reaching, twisting and turning; lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 40 pounds; hand-eye coordination; handling tools and other objects; repetitive wrist motion; and repetitive foot movements using foot pedals.

Nice To Haves

• Prior machine operator experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and load assembly tooling with raw material.
• Identify raw material by the part number shown on the production schedule.
• Make necessary equipment changes and adjustments when needed.
• Complete the First Article process and fill out quality documents.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• On a manual production line, handle larger-diameter products and complete assembly by hand.
• Perform additional projects and duties to support ongoing business needs.
