About The Position
The Baggage Runner assists passengers and airline ticketing agents by lifting, moving, and properly transporting luggage. The role supports passengers at baggage claim and transports luggage between the airport’s outside sidewalk or main entrance and the inside ticket counter. It also involves handling oversized luggage, kennels, and skis, keeping luggage moving within designated time frames, following security and hazardous-material procedures, maintaining baggage supplies, replenishing tubs, and keeping the work area clean and safe. This role is described as suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. The position is located at 3400 E Sky Harbor Blvd, Phoenix, AZ 85034, and pays $16.00 per hour. The listed schedule is 3:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities
- Meet arrivals and assist passengers at baggage claim.
- Carry or otherwise transport passenger luggage between the outside sidewalk or main entrance of the airport and the inside ticket counter.
- Handle oversized luggage, kennels, and skis weighing up to or more than 50 pounds, which may require frequent bending and lifting.
- Ensure passenger luggage is placed on the belt within the designated time frame.
- Follow required security procedures and hazardous-material handling requirements.
- Maintain and restock baggage supplies.
- Replenish tubs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
