About The Position

The Baggage Agent plays a vital role in ensuring high performance in baggage handling while exceeding customer expectations and maintaining strong standards of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. The role follows company policies and procedures to support a smooth airport experience. The Baggage Handler is also responsible for taking reasonable care of their own and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing in accordance with training and workplace rules. The company prohibits the misuse of alcohol and drugs and conducts regular testing to enforce its Substance Misuse Policy.

Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy baggage and work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Manually or mechanically load and off-load baggage in accordance with relevant training.
• Gather, input, and process data and documentation needed for successful operations using manual, automated, or computerized systems, including weather reporting.
• Perform baggage sortation duties safely and efficiently.
• Carry out area hazard checks.
• Perform headset duties, including communication with the flight deck, in accordance with relevant training.
• Take reasonable care of personal and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing in accordance with provided information, training, and workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
