About The Position

Kraft Heinz in Cedar Rapids is hiring a Bag Prep operator for its food production facility. This highly skilled, flexible operator works in multiple positions as needed and must have solid knowledge of bag prep, spice, hand pre-weigh, and product requirements. The role includes identifying concerns with ingredient quality, allergen labeling, and cleaning or changeovers. The facility produces frozen soups and macaroni and cheese. The listed shift is 3rd shift, 9:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Employees are responsible for following food safety policies, safety procedures, and Q-RMP standards, and for ensuring that quality products are packaged.

Responsibilities

Weigh raw ingredients according to recipes.
Organize ingredients according to recipes by placing them in barrels, drums, or other containers.
Perform accurate ingredient inventory checks according to schedules.
Stage materials according to recipes.
Complete paperwork and IQS entries.
Cover staged ingredients.
Place a recipe tag on barrels or carts when a recipe is complete.
Clean and sanitize the work area.
Help with other recipes as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Assemble and change over equipment as assigned.
Verify product quality, item numbers, and weights.
Follow required safe work practices, including PPE and JSA.
Follow food safety policies, safety procedures, and Q-RMP standards.
