About The Position

The Backroom Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, labor, and safety standards and may be cross-trained to support multiple store areas as business needs require.

The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; follows established procedures for customer transactions and merchandise processing; and contributes to merchandising, store recovery, cleanliness, and shrink-reduction efforts. Additional duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise accurately for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in upkeep of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
