Overnight backroom associate (temp)
About The Position
The Overnight Backroom Associate supports store operations by preparing merchandise for the sales floor and helping maintain an organized, clean, and safe store environment. The associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and following customer experience principles. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. This is a temporary position at the TJ Maxx store in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Starting pay is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
