About The Position

The Overnight Backroom Associate delivers a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging with customers and following the company’s customer experience principles. The role helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store, adheres to operational, merchandise, labor, and loss-prevention standards, and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The scheduled hours are 9 PM to 5 AM.

The associate processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor, supports merchandising and store recovery, and may ring purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, and assist with shrink-reduction efforts. The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, respect, teamwork, and constructive feedback, and includes other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Ring customer purchases and returns accurately and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Work in multiple store areas as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
