About The Position

At Marshalls, the Backroom/Overnight associate helps deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, labor, and safety standards and may be cross-trained across multiple store areas to support business needs. The role is based at Marshalls Store 0763 in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The starting pay range is USD $12.75 to $13.25 per hour; actual pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor accurately, following company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
