About The Position

The Backroom Associate is responsible for supporting a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and helping maintain a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. This is a temporary/seasonal position at the TJ Maxx store at 711 Southbridge St., Auburn, Massachusetts.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.

Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow the company's merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
