About The Position

The Seasonal Backroom Associate supports store operations by delivering a highly satisfied customer experience, engaging with customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Availability is required between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.; availability outside those hours is a plus.

The associate may ring purchases and returns, promote credit and loyalty programs, process merchandise for the sales floor, and help maintain merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards throughout the store. The position also supports store shrink-reduction goals and a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs; availability is required between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

• Retail customer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer-experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain merchandising standards and follow established merchandising procedures.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
