About The Position

The Backroom Processing Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor, maintains merchandising standards, and participates in store recovery and cleanliness. The role may also include ringing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, supporting shrink-reduction efforts, and maintaining a safe environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience practices.

• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain merchandising standards and follow established merchandising procedures.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
