About The Position

As a Backend Developer, you are the backbone of our app development! You will work closely with our Team Lead Development and the team to technically implement MetaFlow's vision. The role involves feature development, data modeling and implementation, quality assurance, system maintenance, and utilizing AI-assisted development tools for efficiency and performance optimization.

Requirements

4-5 years of solid experience in Python development with Django in productive, complex software projects.
Deep understanding of RESTful API design, ORMs, data migrations, and Clean Code principles (SOLID, Design Patterns).
Proficiency with Git, Docker, relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and modern CI/CD tools.
Structured and solution-oriented work approach.
Ability to take responsibility and a strong focus on high-quality results.
Fluent German (C1) and English (B1/B2) communication skills.
German residency is a prerequisite.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Celery/Redis.
Experience with monitoring tools (Sentry).
Knowledge of React Native is a great plus.

Responsibilities

Implement new features in the Python/Django environment.
Extend our REST API with new, performant endpoints (ideally with Django Ninja).
Take responsibility for data modeling and implementation in our PostgreSQL environment, ensuring query optimization.
Write automated tests (pytest/unittest) and conduct thorough code reviews.
Ensure reliable deployments.
Take over monitoring, bug fixing, and CI/CD maintenance to keep our systems stable and traceable.
Utilize AI-assisted development tools for increased efficiency.
Actively contribute suggestions for performance optimization.
