About The Position

The Back Plant Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally sound operation of industrial systems and equipment associated with Reworld’s industrial disposal process. The role includes carrying out assigned operating tasks and inspections, documenting equipment condition, troubleshooting and reporting issues, performing equipment checks, and supporting maintenance teams through safe lock-out/tag-out procedures. Operators must be able to work a rotating shift schedule and meet the physical demands of the role.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating heavy industrial equipment.
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• Ability to work consistently in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned operational tasks and inspections using designated industrial equipment and hand and power tools.
• Complete routine inspections of assigned equipment and document details in accordance with facility procedures.
• Troubleshoot assigned equipment and report issues and repair requests through defined work order processes and procedures.
• Use weekly activity books and critical items checklists to perform operational and equipment-related function checks.
• Safely perform lock-out/tag-out processes on equipment in support of assigned maintenance teams.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations.
