About The Position

Las Vegas Urology is seeking a patient-focused and dependable Medical Assistant to support its clinical team and physicians in delivering patient care. The role includes assisting with hands-on procedures, clinical documentation, patient education, and clerical tasks in a busy clinic. The position requires regular patient contact, extended periods of standing and walking, occasional lifting, manual dexterity, and comfort using computers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with clinical and clerical functions in a medical setting.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift.
• Manual dexterity and comfort working on computers.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in a busy clinic.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for exams.
• Assist with in-office procedures and set up instruments.
• Manage control logs and ensure compliance documentation.
• Perform wound checks and remove sutures or staples; educate patients on wound care.
• Collect and handle specimens, including venipuncture, urinalysis, and prostate tissue.
• Administer Lupron, Depo-Provera, and testosterone injections.
• Perform catheter insertions and removals, voiding trials, and bladder instillations; teach self-catheterization.
• Review lab results and communicate with patients.
• Prepare charts and handle patient calls.
• Perform clerical duties, including scanning, faxing, emails, and record keeping.
