About The Position

We are looking for someone to own the full B2C funnel: from acquisition through activation into long term engagement, inside our digital health apps. This is not a role split between two disciplines working side by side. It is one person who understands how acquisition strategy and engagement strategy connect, and who can move fluidly between paid media performance and lifecycle marketing inside the product. You will decide where budget goes, why it goes there, and what happens to the user after they arrive. This role reports into the Marketing team, working closely with Product, Analytics, and Engineering on the acquisition-to-engagement pipeline.

Requirements

  • Several years of proven experience in B2C acquisition / growth for digital products or apps, including hands on work with paid engines, attribution modeling, and structured tactic testing
  • Working understanding of organic growth channels (ASO, organic social, community) alongside paid
  • Experience in engagement or lifecycle marketing, including how engagement plays out inside a product itself, not only through outbound CRM messaging
  • Strong analytical and systems thinking, with a track record of automating recurring reporting and connecting fragmented data sources
  • Comfort owning a funnel end to end (acquisition through activation through retention) rather than one stage of it
  • Fluent in English and German

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industries beyond app & healthcare and lifestyle, such as ecommerce or travel, where acquisition and engagement practices tend to be more mature and can bring fresh thinking to health tech
  • Hands on experience with tools such as Customer.io, Adjust, or comparable CDP and attribution platforms
  • Experience working in a scale up or fast changing team structure, where priorities and org setup shift as the business grows
  • Experience with internationalization: running acquisition and engagement across multiple markets and languages, and adapting strategy for diverse target groups rather than a single default audience
  • Experience operating in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance, or similar), where compliance, data privacy, and messaging constraints shape how campaigns and CRM journeys can be built

Responsibilities

  • Own paid acquisition strategy and execution across app marketing channels, including Google Ads, Meta, and other performance and programmatic channels, plus offline and OOH where relevant
  • Manage acquisition budget across channels, reallocating based on performance rather than habit
  • Build, run, and interpret attribution models (we work with a Segment based, source of truth attribution stack across Adjust, Google Ads, Meta, and web) to understand what is actually driving quality users, not just volume
  • Design and run structured tactic tests: creative variants, audience segments, bidding strategies, and new channel pilots, with clear hypotheses and read outs
  • Grow organic acquisition alongside paid, including ASO, organic social, and partner or community channels
  • Set up and monitor dashboards and reporting that connect spend to downstream engagement, activation, and retention outcomes, not just installs or CPI
  • Stay close to platform changes (iOS privacy rules, attribution windows, algorithm shifts) and adjust strategy before they become a problem
  • Own lifecycle and engagement strategy for users once they are inside the product: onboarding, activation, re engagement, and win back
  • Build and manage CRM journeys (we use Customer.io) across push, in app, and email, segmented by behavior and lifecycle stage
  • Build the connective tissue between acquisition and engagement, so a user's channel, campaign, and intent at the point of acquisition inform how they are engaged afterward, rather than starting the relationship from zero
  • Work closely with Product to understand and shape how engagement mechanics live inside the app itself: onboarding flows, feature nudges, habit loops, not only outbound messaging
  • Define and track activation and retention metrics (activation rate, retention, churn) and treat drops in these as acquisition and product signals, not just CRM problems
  • Bring strong systems thinking to how acquisition and engagement data connect across tools, aiming for automation over manual reporting wherever possible
  • Identify where tooling, tracking, or process gaps are slowing the team down (broken attribution, manual reporting, disconnected data) and fix them, working with Analytics and Engineering where needed
  • Keep the acquisition to engagement data pipeline reliable and self serve, so decisions do not depend on ad hoc pulls

Benefits

  • 150€ monthly subsidiary for personal use (e.g., internet, public transport, kindergarten subsidy, workation)
  • Company pension scheme with 50% subsidy (capped at 90€ per month)
  • Hybrid-work policy allowing work from anywhere within Germany
  • Team decides on office days (4 days per month)
  • Company off-sites and kick-offs
  • State-of-the-art devices
  • Daily caffeine and vitamin supply
