About The Position

The Autos Cashier works as part of a retail sales team to provide customer care, promote sales and service, and help meet store sales goals. The role requires proactive customer engagement, teamwork and individual contribution, strong product knowledge, and consistent adherence to Pick-n-Pull policies and procedures. The position may provide opportunities to progress to Parts Specialist and Retail Sales Lead through product knowledge, work ethic, and positive performance evaluations. The Autos Cashier is scheduled during peak customer traffic, which may include weekends, sale days, holidays, and other high-volume periods. The role is based in an auto salvage yard and involves indoor and outdoor work, changing weather, dust, automotive fluids, and noise from machinery and customers. Employees must follow safety protocols and use required personal protective equipment. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. U.S. employment is contingent on satisfactory completion of a post-offer drug screen and background check, and new hires must review and sign an Arbitration Agreement.

Requirements

Customer service experience, or the ability and aptitude to perform effectively in customer-facing roles.
Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime.
Ability to work at any nearby store location assigned by management.
Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
Ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stretch, and lift up to 40 pounds.
Manual dexterity for handling tools, housekeeping tasks such as mopping and sweeping, and assigned Task List responsibilities.
Sufficient vision and ability to remain on one's feet for the entire work shift.
Must be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Experience handling customer payments across multiple payment methods.
Fluency in Spanish.
Familiarity with automotive parts, including ability to recognize parts and understand basic product details.

Responsibilities

Work safely, promote the Pick-n-Pull Safety Culture, follow safety requirements, collaborate with a safety buddy, and correctly wear required PPE.
Work collaboratively with the team to achieve individual and shared goals and desired results.
Welcome customers promptly and proactively engage with them to identify and provide the assistance they need.
Complete sales training, apply the Pick-n-Pull 5 Step Sales Model, and continue building skills through ongoing training across the business.
Promote sales and service to customers.
Follow loss prevention, risk management, quality assurance, and cash-handling guidelines.
Recognize when a customer situation requires leadership support and notify a manager promptly.
Support store operations by completing housekeeping, janitorial, and other assigned duties, including tasks such as cleaning tires, carrying batteries, and mopping floors.
Uphold integrity in every interaction and transaction.
Follow company policies and procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.
