About The Position

The Automotive Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. Responsibilities include mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing tires; verifying vehicle tire sizes; providing knowledgeable service at the tire desk; and coordinating with the Home Office about member tire needs when needed. The technician maintains supply inventory, uses special-order tire programs, keeps the tire bay and waiting area clean and professional, merchandises tire and automotive products, and follows safety and cleanliness standards while using tire bay equipment. The role also includes filling propane tanks when certified under DOT requirements, disposing of tires properly, and completing scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.

Team members are expected to uphold club policies and compliance, provide friendly and respectful member service, support a safe and positive environment, work collaboratively, and meet daily GOLD Member and Club Standards. Duties may include work in other departments as assigned. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
• Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying vehicle tire sizes.
• Install tires by mounting, dismounting, rotating, and balancing them.
• Repair tires and properly dispose of used tires.
• Fill propane tanks as needed, if certified according to DOT requirements.
• Maintain a clean, professional tire bay and waiting area, and merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
• Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk and coordinate with the Home Office about member tire needs as needed.
• Maintain accurate and complete supply inventory and appropriately use special-order tire programs.
• Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
• Follow safety and cleanliness standards and properly use tire bay equipment.
• Maintain club policies and procedures and support their application and compliance.
• Deliver friendly, respectful service; address or escalate member concerns and help ensure a safe, positive member experience.
• Work collaboratively to meet GOLD Member and Club Standards, including keeping items stocked, promotional plans executed, signage accurate, and areas clean and organized.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
