Automotive Tire Technician Part Time $1000 Sign On Bonus
About The Position
The Automotive Tire Technician assists members with selecting and purchasing tires, installs and repairs tires, completes tire bay documentation, and maintains tire bay policies and procedures. The role provides knowledgeable service at the tire desk and supports a safe, clean, and professional tire bay and waiting area. Team members are expected to follow club policies and compliance requirements, work collaboratively, treat members and colleagues with respect, and deliver BJ’s GOLD Member and Club Standards. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Must pass Michelin training levels one through four within three months of hire.
- Ability to lift over 50 pounds with assistance.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance.

- Prior tire installation experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist members in selecting and purchasing tires, including verifying tire sizes for vehicles.
- Mount, dismount, rotate, balance, install, and repair tires.
- Dispose of tires properly and fill propane tanks as needed when certified under DOT requirements.
- Maintain a clean and professional tire bay and waiting area.
- Merchandise tire displays and automotive products.
- Provide knowledgeable service to members at the tire desk.
- Coordinate with the Home Office regarding member tire needs as needed.
- Maintain an accurate and complete supply inventory.
- Understand and use available special-order tire programs appropriately.
- Complete tire bay scheduling data and documentation for sales and service orders.
- Follow safety, cleanliness, club policies, and procedures, and use tire bay equipment properly.
- Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
- Support a safe and positive environment, resolve or escalate member concerns, and contribute to team goals and daily club standards.
