About The Position

Audi Modesto, a member of the Del Grande Dealer Group (DGDG), is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect vehicles and perform necessary repair work. The technician will diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems while creating a high-quality automotive retail experience and contributing to guest satisfaction. DGDG provides training and emphasizes a culture of integrity, caring, performance, and efficiency.

Requirements

At least 1 year of automotive diagnosis and problem-solving experience.
Hands-on experience with Audi vehicles, including familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems and diagnostic procedures.
Valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
DMV check required.
Willingness to participate in in-house training.
Ability to operate all auto repair tools.
Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment.

Nice To Haves

ASE certifications.
X-Time/CDK experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and perform appropriate repairs accurately and efficiently.
Perform multi-point inspections on every vehicle.
Maintain working knowledge of current automotive repair best practices.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Learn new technical information and techniques to stay proficient in automotive diagnosis and repair.
Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for customers and dealership records.
Communicate with Service Advisors so customers are informed about additional services needed.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Complete work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
