About The Position
Bergey’s Inc. is hiring an Automotive Technician for its Kia dealership in Colmar, Pennsylvania. This experienced technician performs diagnoses and repairs on most vehicle components with little supervision and has previously worked as a B-Class general service technician. The position pays $37,000 to $125,000 per year, based on experience, and is full-time with no Sundays. The technician performs work according to dealership and factory standards, communicates with the parts department and service advisor, and documents work performed and recommended. Requirements
- Prior experience as a B-Class general service technician.
- Ability to diagnose and repair most vehicle components with little supervision.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
- Manufacturer training.
- State Emission Certification.
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair-order work efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts when work is under warranty or when requested by the customer.
- Examine assigned vehicles to determine whether additional safety or service work is required or recommended.
- Immediately inform the service advisor if additional work is needed, outlined work is unnecessary, or repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Road-test vehicles when required or refer them to the test technician.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
