About The Position
Bergey's Inc. is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician for Bergey's Kia in Colmar, Pennsylvania. The technician diagnoses and repairs most vehicle components with little supervision and has previously worked as a B-Class general service technician. Work is performed efficiently and accurately according to dealership and factory standards. The role is full-time, pays $37,000 to $125,000 per year based on experience, and does not require Sunday work. Requirements
- Experience performing diagnoses and repairs of most vehicle components with little supervision.
- Previous experience as a B-Class general service technician.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
- Manufacturer training.
- State emission certification.
- State vehicle inspector certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform work listed on repair orders efficiently and accurately in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts from a job when required by warranty or requested by the customer.
- Inspect assigned vehicles to identify further safety or service work that is required or recommended.
- Immediately notify the service advisor when additional work is needed, listed work is unnecessary, or repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
- Document work performed and recommended on repair orders.
- Road-test vehicles when required or refer them to the test technician.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
