Master Automotive Technician | Up to $60/Hr & Weekends Off | Lumberton / Beaumont
About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. The role is available at locations in Lumberton and Beaumont, Texas. The technician works with the service department to manage and distribute work, support technician development, diagnose and repair vehicles, and maintain shop standards, equipment, supplies, and safety. The position also includes coordinating schedules and workflows, monitoring performance and efficiency, and helping resolve customer concerns. CBA locations provide modern facilities, manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment, factory scan tools, free training, full-time live technical support, and access to a private Technician Assistance Center. The position is at a locally owned and operated franchise location.
Requirements

- Ability to flag 30 or more hours per week, depending on shop needs.
- Capability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.

- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces as required for repairs.

- Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Work with the service department to distribute work to technicians.
- Manage and oversee individual technician workloads and overall workflow in the service area.
- Oversee technician progress through internal training requirements and coach technicians in preparation for certifications.
- Train and mentor new technicians.
- Help technicians diagnose and repair vehicles when necessary, including for misdiagnosis or employee development.
- Conduct quarterly technician performance touchpoints to establish and monitor career goals and employee performance.
- Manage technician team-building opportunities.
- Educate the technician team on brand and quality standards so customer concerns can be troubleshot quickly and effectively.
- Manage and maintain shop supplies and equipment.
- Monitor bulk fluid levels.
- Monitor shop efficiency through technician-hours reports and ticket audits.
- Manage scan-tool subscriptions.
- Distribute shop housekeeping tasks while promoting safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Manage and oversee technician work schedules.
- Enforce safety regulations and protocols.
- Work closely with the service department, communicate customer concerns, and assist with resolving customer complaints when necessary.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles of all makes and models.
- Meet or exceed hourly goals.
