Automotive Technician / Mechanic | Up to $60/Hr & Weekends Off | Newnan
About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat automotive technician/mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to solving difficult problems and doing what is right for guests. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, building experience across a broad range of domestic and foreign makes and models, and working collaboratively with the service department and other technicians. Technicians are expected to provide accurate and honest courtesy inspections and uphold standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization. The Newnan location is independently owned and operated by a local franchisee, who is solely responsible for employment decisions and will be the employer if the candidate is hired. CBA locations offer modern facilities with manufacturer-level diagnostic equipment and factory scan tools, a consistent workload, training, live technician support, and access to a private Technician Assistance Center.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
- Positive attitude and a desire to serve guests.
- Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
- Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
- Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
- Desire for long-term career development.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmissions.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair vehicles for guests.
- Continuously build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Work with the team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
- Work closely with the service department and communicate concerns effectively.
- Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
