About The Position

Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive Technician / Mechanic with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to solving difficult problems and doing what is right for customers. The technician will diagnose and repair vehicles, build experience across domestic and foreign makes, and contribute to a collaborative, safety-conscious shop. The position is at 2820 Sarah Lane, Waunakee, WI 53597. Compensation is listed at $40 to $55 per hour for the most skilled technicians. This opening is at a locally owned and operated franchise; the local franchisee is the employer and is responsible for employment decisions.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
Positive attitude and desire to serve customers.
Ability to diagnose and repair all makes and models of vehicles.
Aptitude for learning additional skills and processes.
Professional appearance and strong communication skills.
Desire for long-term career development.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician’s head and in tight spaces as required by repairs.
Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
Ability to walk or stand for most of the workday.
Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.

Nice To Haves

Master L1 or A-level technician qualification preferred.
ASE certifications preferred, or a plan to achieve them.

Responsibilities

Use automotive knowledge and skills to diagnose and repair customers’ vehicles.
Build experience working on a wide range of domestic and foreign vehicles.
Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
Work as part of a team to troubleshoot customer concerns quickly and effectively.
Follow and promote high standards of safety, cleanliness, and organization.
Communicate customer concerns effectively while working closely with the service department.
Collaborate with other technicians to solve problems, meet deadlines, and deliver distinguished results.
Meet or exceed hourly goals.
