About The Position
Lia Hyundai Hartford is hiring an A/A+ level Automotive Service Technician for a fast-paced, professional, and positive dealership environment. The service department uses modern technology and equipment, including a service-drive alignment checker, alignment rack, and Hunter tire-mounting and balancing machines. Compensation is listed at $60,000–$150,000+; a sign-on bonus of up to $4,000 may be available based on experience or certifications. The technician performs diagnostic, maintenance, and repair work on vehicle systems, follows dealership processes and manufacturer warranty specifications, and coordinates with Service Advisors about additional service needs and estimated repair times.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Service Technician experience.
- Experience with diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
- State Inspection certification.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and service specifications.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Clean and valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- ASE Certification is recommended.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership processes.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate with Service Advisors about additional service needs and estimated repair times so customers can be informed.
- Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
