About The Position

Lia Hyundai Hartford is hiring an experienced A/A+ level Automotive Service Technician for a fast-paced, professional, team-oriented service department. The department is equipped with current technology and equipment, including a service drive alignment checker, alignment rack, and Hunter tire mounting and balancing machines. Compensation is listed at $60,000–$150,000+, with a sign-on bonus of up to $4,000 potentially available based on experience or certifications. The role includes performing repairs to dealership processes and manufacturer specifications, diagnosing and repairing vehicle systems, and communicating additional service needs and repair-time estimates to Service Advisors.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of Service Technician experience.
• Experience with diagnostics, electrical systems, and engine repair.
• State Inspection certification.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and service specifications.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Clean and valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• ASE Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership processes.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and estimated repair times so customers can be informed.
• Perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
