About The Position
Lia Toyota Rockland is hiring an A/A+ level Automotive Service Technician for a fast-paced, professional, and positive dealership environment. The service department is equipped with current technology and equipment, including a service-drive alignment checker, alignment rack, and Hunter tire-mounting and balancing machines. A sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 may be available based on experience, skill level, and/or certifications. The stated compensation range is $120,000–$150,000+. The role involves diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle systems, performing work according to repair orders and dealership processes, testing vehicles and components, communicating additional service needs and repair estimates to Service Advisors, and completing warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Service Technician experience.
- Experience with diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair.
- State Inspection certification.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and service specifications.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Clean and valid driver's license.
Nice To Haves
- ASE Certification is recommended.
Responsibilities
- Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership processes.
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems, including the engine, transmission, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
- Communicate directly with Service Advisors about additional service needs and estimated repair times so customers can be informed.
- Execute warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications.
