About The Position

Lia Toyota Rockland is hiring an A/A+ level Automotive Service Technician to work in a fast-paced, professional, and positive environment. The dealership service department is equipped with current technology and equipment, including a service-drive alignment checker, alignment rack, and Hunter tire-mounting and balancing machines. Compensation is listed at $120,000–$150,000+, and a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000 may be available based on experience and/or certifications.

Requirements

At least 3 years of Service Technician experience.
Diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair experience.
State Inspection certification.
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, and service specifications.
Computer skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Clean and valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certification is recommended.

Responsibilities

Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership processes.
Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide an estimate of the time required for additional repairs.
Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
