About The Position

The Automotive Service Technician performs vehicle repairs and service in a productive, clean, and professional dealership shop equipped with air conditioning and newer technology. The role includes continued education and hands-on training, with opportunities for career advancement and promotion from within. The position does not require Sunday work, as indicated in the job title.

Requirements

• Positive, friendly attitude and a customer-service mentality.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player able to collaborate effectively with others.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair procedures, service procedures, and specifications.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Applicants must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test.

Nice To Haves

• ASE certification preferred.
• Previous experience at an automotive dealership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on repair orders efficiently and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional service needs and provide estimates of the time required for additional repairs.
• Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer specifications.
