About The Position

Sheehy Auto Stores is hiring a Mazda Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair client and dealership vehicles while maintaining positive relationships with clients. The technician works alongside experienced automotive professionals in an honest, ethics-focused shop and may assist in mentoring technician trainees. Compensation is based on experience and certifications, ranging from $50,000 to $200,000.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
One to three years of related experience and training.
Must be authorized to work in the USA.
Must pass pre-employment background checks, an MVR check, and a drug screen.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Examine and diagnose vehicles.
Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor.
Communicate additional service requests to a service advisor.
Plan work procedures in cooperation with the shop foreman.
Provide labor time estimates to a service advisor.
Monitor repair time and regularly update the service advisor.
Follow dealership policies on vehicle care and operation.
Complete repair documentation and service stories for client repairs.
Assist in mentoring technician trainees.
Attend company and factory training.
Stay current with factory technical bulletins.
Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal requirements.
Keep vehicles being worked on clean and free of grease and oil.
Use personal protective equipment properly and adhere to shop safety standards.
