About The Position

Delta Sonic is hiring an Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic to work in its state-of-the-art Car Care Centers. The role diagnoses and repairs vehicle systems and components, including brakes, suspension components, and sensors. Certified Service Technicians also perform oil changes and 20-point maintenance checks and must have alignment experience. As a front-line representative of the team, the technician greets customers professionally, explains products and services, and helps achieve customer satisfaction by meeting Delta Sonic’s quality standards. The position pays $21.25–$35.25 per hour, plus commission, depending on experience. Year-round schedule availability is required; seasonal employment opportunities for people attending school are no longer available effective June 1, 2024.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• ASE certification is recommended.
• A New York State Inspector License is required for positions in New York State only.
• Good mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot non-routine repairs.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for providing great customer service.
• A detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
• Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Year-round schedule availability is required; seasonal availability due to attending school is not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension components, sensors, and other vehicle issues.
• Perform oil change services and 20-point maintenance checks as required for Certified Service Technicians.

• Educate customers about the products and services offered.
• Help achieve customer satisfaction by ensuring Delta Sonic’s quality standards.
