About The Position

Delta Sonic is hiring an Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic to work in its state-of-the-art Car Care Centers. The role involves diagnosing and repairing automotive systems and components while providing professional, enthusiastic customer service and helping customers understand available products and services. Technicians are responsible for maintaining Delta Sonic's quality standards and achieving customer satisfaction. Certified Service Technicians are also required to perform oil changes, 20-point maintenance checks, and alignments. Pay is $21.25–$35.25 per hour, plus commission, depending on experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• ASE certification is recommended.
• A New York State Inspector License is required for positions in New York State.
• Good mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot non-routine repairs.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for providing great customer service.
• A detail-oriented mindset.
• Must be a team player.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods.
• Ability to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
• Year-round schedule availability is required; seasonal employment due to attending school is no longer available effective June 1, 2024.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair brakes, suspension components, sensors, and other automotive issues.
• Perform oil change services and 20-point maintenance checks as a Certified Service Technician.
• Perform alignments and have alignment experience.
• Greet customers in a positive, enthusiastic, and professional manner.
• Educate customers about the products and services offered.
• Maintain Delta Sonic's quality standards and contribute to customer satisfaction.
