About The Position

Berman Star Nissan is hiring an Automotive Service Manager in Niles, Illinois. The Service Manager plans, trains, leads, and monitors the performance of service advisors, service technicians, and support staff to promote customer satisfaction and revenue growth in line with business and financial objectives. The role oversees daily service department operations, develops strategies to improve revenue and customer retention, and ensures service work meets manufacturer standards and customer expectations.

The position is full-time, scheduled Monday through Saturday, with Sundays and one weekday off. Pay is $125,000–$150,000 annually. Dealership service management experience is required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Dealership Service Manager.
• Proven leadership ability to mentor and train team members.
• Proficient time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of automotive service operations and profitability strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily service department operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
• Lead and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and customer retention.
• Train and mentor team members to improve performance and service quality.
• Ensure service work meets manufacturer standards and customer expectations.
• Hire and develop service advisors and technicians.
• Address customer concerns promptly and professionally to resolve issues.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies to meet goals.
