About The Position
Opelika Ford is seeking an experienced, motivated Automotive Service Advisor to join its team in Opelika, Alabama. The Service Advisor identifies vehicle problems, gathers warranty and service-coverage information, and drafts repair orders. The role calls for a self-starter who provides outstanding customer satisfaction and is eager to gain experience and learn from a team of mentors. The Service Advisor consults with customers about their needs, coordinates appropriate service, serves as the primary contact for service and repair matters, and works with mechanics to determine repairs and alternatives. The position also involves selling additional needed services, managing service-delivery expectations, keeping customers updated, and verifying invoices against work performed.
Requirements
- One year of dealership Service Advisor experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Valid driver's license and good standing.
- Personal and professional integrity.
- Desire for a long-term career with a growing organization.

- CDK experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet and consult with customers to interpret their needs and arrange appropriate service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for automotive service and repair matters.
- Consult with mechanics about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work.
- Sell additional needed services.
- Set and manage service-delivery expectations for customers and mechanics.
- Continuously update customers on repair needs and completion times.
- Verify that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
