About The Position

Anderson Auto Group is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Automotive Service Advisor/Writer to serve as the link between customers and service technicians. The role supports customers from vehicle intake through service completion, using automotive knowledge and customer-service skills to assess needs, explain repairs, and promote satisfaction and repeat business. The position includes greeting customers, documenting vehicle concerns, preparing estimates, coordinating repair work, maintaining transaction records, and communicating throughout the service process. Requirements

Proven experience as a Service Advisor or Service Writer in an automotive dealership or repair shop.
Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
Excellent client communication skills focused on customer satisfaction.
Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and transparency.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Dealership experience is highly preferred.
Automotive service or technician experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and accurately document vehicle issues.
Prepare detailed repair estimates using estimating software and clearly communicate options to customers.
Upsell additional services or repairs that improve vehicle safety, performance, or longevity.
Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely service completion.
Maintain thorough service transaction records, including cash handling and invoicing.
Explain repairs, answer customer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
