About The Position

DARCARS Jacksonville is seeking an Automotive Service Advisor / Writer. This role presents, consults on, and sells automotive warranty products and repair services professionally, following the manufacturer’s published maintenance schedule and requirements and company policy. The Service Advisor builds rapport with customers to promote satisfaction and retention, and manages service interactions in a fast-paced environment with limited supervision.

The employee may also be asked by a supervisor to perform other duties and responsibilities. Employment is at-will and subject to termination if dealership rules and regulations are violated. DARCARS is an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening.
• Must have strong customer service, phone, and computer skills.
• Must be able to manage a fast-paced work environment with limited supervision.

Nice To Haves

• Previous automotive Service Advisor experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and in a friendly manner, and obtain pertinent vehicle information.
• Advise customers on vehicle care and the value of maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Generate and provide customers with complete, accurate repair-order estimates.
• Establish and communicate repair completion times with customers and technicians.
• Answer incoming service calls.
• Maintain and schedule service appointments.
• Follow prescribed customer post-follow-up procedures to encourage return visits, increase sales, and support excellent CSI.
• Follow manufacturer warranty guidelines and procedures.
• Conduct business with high integrity to maintain the manufacturer Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and DARCARS goals.
• Comply with federal, state, and local laws and company policy when safeguarding customer, company, and manufacturer information, as well as customer vehicles and property.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by a supervisor.
