Requirements

  • Proven experience in automotive sales or a related sales role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Have and maintain a good driving record.
  • Have a current driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Maryland Salesperson's License.
  • Able to communicate in a clear and precise manner.
  • Able to generate enthusiasm when demonstrating products.
  • Must interact professionally with all dealership personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of automotive products, financing, and lease options is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles and options.
  • Explain vehicle features, pricing, and financing options clearly.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact through vehicle delivery.
  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and stay current on industry trends.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Greet all customers online or on-site in a prompt, courteous manner.
  • Handle all telephone and email requests in a timely fashion according to standards.
  • Understand automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features, and comparing competitive models.
  • Demonstrate vehicles by explaining aspects, abilities, and features.
  • Provide sales management information by completing reports and updating CRM.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
  • Enhance dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Create a need, a desire, and trigger a sense of urgency in all prospects.
  • Prospect and follow up according to standards.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Record and maintain customer contacts and prospects administratively following company guidelines.
  • Keep Customer Satisfaction scores at or above the market area.
  • Write complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
