About The Position

As an Automotive Parts Counterperson, you will support shop operations by pulling and filling automotive parts orders from stock and delivering parts to Technicians or Guests. You will work with Service Advisors and Technicians, locate out-of-stock parts through outside sources, and provide a high level of service to internal and external Guests in a fast-paced environment. The position works Monday through Friday, with a rotational Saturday. Starting hourly pay is $17.00–$19.00+, evaluated based on relevant skills, training, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills.
Effective time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Responsibilities

Pull and fill internal and external parts orders for pickup, delivery, or shipment.
Locate parts from outside vendors when items are out of stock.
Communicate prices and quotes to Guests and Customers and collect payments.
Ensure internal parts requests are properly billed and Technicians receive parts in a timely manner.
Conduct weekly bin checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
Monitor parts inventory levels and shop materials, and notify Management of items needing immediate attention.
