About The Position

NAPA is hiring an Automotive Parts Specialist to provide and source parts for specialized equipment used by fleet customers. The role uses parts knowledge to assist NAPA team members and answer customer questions, while providing outstanding service and interacting with management and technicians. The specialist works in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, asks questions to research and source the correct parts, and informs customers about parts availability. The posting notes that automotive parts experience is preferred, but a willingness to learn is also considered. The position offers a starting hourly rate of $21.50.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or a willingness to learn about auto parts.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
• Ability to work in or around an airport environment and in a shop environment.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or trade school courses or degree.
• Background or passion in the automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries.
• Experience with airport ground support equipment.
• Knowledge of cataloging, sourcing, or inventory management systems.
• Customer-centric approach with both external and internal customers.
• ASE certifications.
