About The Position

NAPA is seeking an Automotive Parts Specialist to support fleet customers by providing and sourcing parts for specialized equipment. The role uses parts knowledge to assist customers and other team members, researches and sources the correct parts, communicates availability, and provides high-quality customer service while interacting with management and technicians in a fast-paced shop environment. The position is suited to someone with automotive parts experience or a willingness to learn, who enjoys helping fleet customers and wants to grow with a team of parts professionals. The stated starting hourly rate is $19.00; starting rates for other positions depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience in a parts store or the automotive industry, or willingness to learn about automotive parts.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong listening skills and empathy for customers.
• Ability to work on or around an airport environment in a shop environment.

Nice To Haves

• Technical or trade school courses or a degree.
• Background in or passion for the automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership industries.
• Experience with airport ground support equipment.
• Knowledge of cataloging, sourcing, or inventory management systems.
• Customer-centric approach toward external and internal customers.
• ASE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide and source parts for specialized equipment for fleet customers.
• Use parts knowledge to assist NAPA team members and answer customer questions.
• Provide outstanding customer service and interact with management and technicians.
• Bring customer focus and high energy to a fast-paced environment.
• Ask appropriate questions to ensure the correct parts are researched and sourced.
• Inform customers about parts availability.
