About The Position
At Midas, the Automotive Manager in Training/General Service Technician supports quality vehicle inspection, diagnosis, and repair services. This is a developmental role for a Store Manager that combines basic service and sales duties with training in customer calls, appointment setting, and customer interaction. The role works as the Store Manager’s right hand, across both the front and back shop as needed. Midas offers training and promotes from within.

Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 2 years of store or service manager experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by listening to and consulting with customers.
- Follow up with customers about requested services and estimated completion times.
- Oversee complete vehicle inspections and make comprehensive recommendations; build computerized repair orders and source parts.
- Present and discuss pricing estimates and promote shop service specials.
- Oversee technicians’ inspections, diagnosis, and repairs of domestic, European, and Asian cars and light trucks.
- Maintain inventory counts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility.
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, and basic technician work.
- Handle phone calls, set appointments, and interact with customers while training for store management responsibilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
