About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring a License and Title Clerk at Napleton Volkswagen of Sanford. This role supports the sales team by processing vehicles for registration and handling title-related documentation. The company is a family-owned automotive dealership group with over 25 vehicle brands, more than 50 dealerships across seven states, and over 3,500 employees nationwide.

Requirements

• 1–3 years or more of License and Title experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law and regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive dealership experience.
• Knowledge of the CDK/ADP Dealer Service system.

Responsibilities

• Process vehicles for registration in the state where they will be titled.
• Prepare tax and title documents.
• Submit legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder has been paid off before processing title applications.
• Check applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
• Bill out dealer trades and prepare Certificates of Origin.
• Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles.
• Compile and maintain a complete list of outstanding title work.
• Report missing or problem titles to management and provide the comptroller with a current list of outstanding titles at month-end.
