About The Position

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is hiring a License and Title Clerk at River Oaks Hyundai. This role supports the sales teams by processing vehicles for registration in the state where they will be titled. The position is part of a growing, fast-paced automotive dealership group affiliated with more than 25 vehicle brands and over 50 dealerships across seven states, with more than 3,500 employees.

Requirements

Automotive dealership experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local law and regulations.
Be at least 18 years old to comply with the company driving policy.

Nice To Haves

1–3 years of License and Title experience preferred.
Knowledge of the CDK/ADP Dealer Service system strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Process vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
Prepare tax and title documents.
Submit legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder has been paid off before processing title applications.
Check applications for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
Bill out dealer trades and prepare Certificates of Origin.
Maintain a system to verify out-of-state titles.
Compile and maintain a complete list of outstanding title work.
Report the status of missing or problem titles to management and provide the comptroller with a current list of outstanding titles at month-end.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
