About The Position

Berman Auto Group is expanding its corporate office team and is seeking a detail-oriented License & Title Clerk / Automotive Biller. This role supports dealership operations by accurately processing vehicle deals and completing title and registration paperwork in compliance with state requirements. The position is based in Niles, with training in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with pay of $22–$25 per hour based on experience.

Requirements

• Dealership experience is required.
• Automotive billing experience.
• License and title experience.
• Comfort processing out-of-state titles and having a process for confirming registration.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfort working individually and/or on a team.
• Computer literacy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deals and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and bill retail, lease, and wholesale vehicle deals.
• Review deal jackets for accuracy and completeness.
• Post vehicle sales, trade-ins, warranties, and aftermarket products.
• Prepare and submit title and registration paperwork.
• Handle title transfers, lien recordings, and duplicate titles.
• Track and follow up on title work to ensure timely completion.
• Resolve discrepancies with lenders, customers, and state agencies.
• Maintain organized and accurate records.
• Support internal audits and month-end accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Accounting teams.
• Communicate missing or incorrect documentation to the appropriate parties.
