About The Position
Christian Brothers Automotive is seeking an energetic, upbeat Automotive General Service Technician with a positive attitude and a passion for finding solutions and doing what is right for guests. This entry-level position performs vehicle maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and suspension alignments, as well as state-mandated emissions and safety inspections. Technicians work with the service team to troubleshoot guest concerns, inspect vehicles, maintain accurate records, follow applicable regulations, and uphold standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization. The role is at an independently owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in Buckeye, Arizona. The shop is climate-controlled and offers a consistent workload, training, and live technical support.
Requirements
- Current driver's license.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles lifted above the technician's head and in tight spaces.
- Dexterity to use hand tools efficiently.
- Ability to walk and stand for most of the workday.
- Ability to drive manual-transmission vehicles.
- Ability to maintain a brisk work pace in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to navigate a computer efficiently.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle maintenance and repair services, including oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, suspension alignments, and other services.
- Perform state-mandated vehicle emissions and safety inspections in accordance with state regulations.
- Work as part of a team to troubleshoot guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Complete full, accurate, and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Ensure preventive maintenance reports are complete and accurate.
- Comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting service operations, including hazardous-waste disposal and OSHA right-to-know requirements.
- Assist with housekeeping functions as directed by management.
- Communicate with the service department about the extent of damage or malfunctions on guest vehicles.
- Follow and promote safety, cleanliness, and organization standards.
