About The Position
Berlin City Toyota is hiring a dependable, eager-to-grow Lube-Tire Technician for its service team in Portland, Maine. The role performs routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections, and supports repair work to keep customers’ vehicles running smoothly. Hands-on training, mentorship, tools, and uniforms are provided, with a path for advancement toward becoming a full-line technician. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, with higher starting pay based on experience and opportunity for advancement. Full-time and part-time positions are available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver's license and a favorable motor vehicle record.
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check.

Responsibilities
- Perform assigned work on maintenance and repair orders efficiently and according to dealership standards.
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including performing flushes, oil changes, and tire rotations.
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in non-technical terms to service advisors and customers.
- Participate in formal training sessions and continuously learn technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.
- Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so necessary repairs can be made.
