About The Position

Berlin City Toyota is hiring a dependable, eager-to-grow Automotive Express Technician for its service team in Portland, Maine. The role performs routine vehicle maintenance and repairs, including oil changes, tire rotations, flushes, and inspections. The position provides hands-on training, mentorship, tools and uniforms, and a path toward becoming a full-line technician. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour, with opportunity for advancement. Full-time and part-time positions are available.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Possess a valid driver's license and a favorable motor vehicle record.
Able to pass a pre-employment background check.
Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repair work efficiently and according to dealership standards.
Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including performing flushes, oil changes, and tire rotations.
Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs.
Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers.
Attend formal training sessions and continue learning technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.
Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so necessary repairs can be made.
