About The Position

Royal Honda, part of Hudson Automotive Group, is hiring Express/Maintenance Technicians for its high-volume service team in Metairie, Louisiana. The role performs routine vehicle maintenance and basic safety inspections, completes work orders to dealership and factory standards, and keeps customers’ vehicles and the shop clean. Pay starts at $15 per hour for entry-level technicians and $18 per flat-rate hour for experienced express technicians. Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and a drug test.

Previous express technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform basic safety inspections while draining and refilling engine oil to the required amount.
Complete work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, following dealership and factory standards.
Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and wiper blades, and perform additional services as directed by management.
Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish fluids as necessary.
Check tire pressure and add air as needed.
Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
Document all work performed on repair orders.
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to a supervisor.
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager.
Keep customers’ vehicles clean and notify the service advisor immediately of any change in a vehicle’s appearance or condition.
Keep the shop area neat and clean.
Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous-waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know requirements.
Immediately report safety issues to management.
