Automotive Express/Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Honda Kingsport, part of Hudson Automotive Group, is hiring Automotive Express/Maintenance Technicians for its high-volume service team. The opportunity is suitable for people starting in automotive service as well as technicians with maintenance experience. The company offers company-funded Honda training, career development, and opportunities to advance into main-shop technician roles. Work is performed in a climate-controlled service facility, with a flexible four- or five-day workweek. Starting pay is $17 per hour for entry-level Tech I and $20 per hour flat rate plus bonus for experienced Tech II technicians. Tech II employees are eligible for an annual technician retention bonus. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and a customer-focused, dependable, self-motivated, coachable approach, with the ability to work effectively on a team. Prior express or maintenance technician experience, automotive technical school education or training, and basic automotive maintenance knowledge are preferred. Employment is contingent on successfully completing pre-employment screening, including background checks, motor vehicle record reviews, drug screening, and verification of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes and routine maintenance services.
- Complete vehicle safety and multi-point inspections.
- Replace engine air filters, cabin air filters, and wiper blades.
- Inspect and replenish vehicle fluid levels.
- Check and adjust tire pressures.
- Complete repair orders accurately and efficiently.
- Follow manufacturer and dealership service standards.
- Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts.
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
