Automotive Express/Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Gastonia Nissan, part of Hudson Automotive Group, is hiring an Automotive Express/Maintenance Technician for its high-volume service team in Gastonia, North Carolina. The role performs routine maintenance and basic vehicle safety inspections according to repair orders and dealership and factory standards. Pay is $17–$22 per hour on a flat-rate basis, with a production bonus. The dealership offers a technician career pathway with dealership-provided training and advancement opportunities. The position is based in a climate-controlled facility and has an open-to-closing shift. Applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, and a drug test. Previous express technician experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Perform a basic safety inspection while draining the oil from the crankcase and refilling it with the required amount.
- Complete work outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and wiper blades, and perform additional services as directed by management.
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish fluids as necessary.
- Check tire pressure and add air when needed.
